What is brain fog?
Brain fog is not technically a medical condition, but it is term used to describe a person’s inability to concentrate and think. If you are experiencing this “foggy” feeling, you may feel disorganized or confused to the point of finding it hard to put your thoughts into words or focus. Pregnancy, multiple sclerosis (MS, a disease that affects the central nervous system), certain medications, cancer treatments, menopause, chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, a lack of sleep, lupus (a disease that causes your immune system to attack your body) and old age can all cause brain fog.
If you are finding it harder and harder to think and concentrate, you may be eligible for certain treatments that provide more clarity to the brain. At Refine Medical in Bend, Oregon, we provide BioTE hormone pellet therapy to help patients dealing with brain fog. These hormone pellets use plant-based compounds that have the same chemical structure as the hormones created naturally in the body. Once inserted through a small incision, the pellets provide relief for several months.* They can even help with factors that are contributing to your fogginess, including sleep.*
